First Year Central (fyc)

Welcome

Welcome to those of you starting at UWS.

While studying with us, you will earn more than a degree. We provide opportunities for you to learn and grow intellectually, emotionally and socially as you engage with challenges both inside and beyond the classroom, so that you can go on to be successful leaders and active participants in your chosen field of endeavour.

UWS supports you and your studies in many ways. Many of your initial questions are answered on this First Year Central (FYC) website. There is also a lot of information contained in your Student Diary. If you cannot find answers to your questions, email us at the following address fyc@uws.edu.au and we will help you.

Services to support students are available across all six campuses at UWS. Students can access assistance with study skills, careers advice and counselling for academic and personal problems. A range of free workshops are offered throughout the semester. Information can be found in your Student Diary and on our Services for Students web pages www.uws.edu.au/ods. Our campus Student Centres can help you with a range of administrative matters. Please make the most of all the help that is offered.

Enjoy your studies and best wishes.
