Did you know that mature age entry at UWS is not about being over 21, you can be 17, 18, 19, 20 and over 21. At UWS the application process is that of a non current school leaver, simply meaning, not sitting the HSC or IB at the time of applying for University.

You may be returning to study, considering a change in career or wanting information on how to enter university as a mature aged student, this is the checklist for you.

Alternatively, if you have significant work experience and an Undergraduate degree, search for the Graduate Diplomas and Masters courses available - accessible from Postgraduate Study at UWS.

If you have any questions at any stage of the checklist, call the UWS Course Information Centre on 1300 897 669 or email study@uws.edu.au

Non Current School Leaver Checklist:

1. Search the UWS Undergraduate Areas of Study to find a course of interest to you

2. Consider the course fees - Undergraduate course fees vary depending on the course and study load of each student. Information about student contribution amounts and payment options for prospective students is available at the external Study Assist website (opens in a new window).

3. Find out about Scholarships - A number of Scholarships are now available for application online! You are welcome to browse through our wide range of Scholarships for more information.

4. Attend Events - Prospective students, their friends and family are invited to attend a number of UWS Events throughout the year. Guided campus tours, parent information evenings, Open Day and UWS Day's provide excellent opportunities to find out more about UWS opportunities first hand, on campus. Information can be accessed online at the UWS Events page.

5. Find out about Student Life at UWS. Navigate the Student Life pages to find out about the support services that are available to current UWS students; the facilities that UWS has and examples of current student experiences.

There are a number of student support services available specifically for mature aged students and information can be accessed from the Mature Age Orientation information (take a sneak peek).

6. Be prepared - by knowing about the Alternative Pathways to UWS.
