
Orientation is an opportunity for you to:
All students starting at UWS should attend Orientation.
If you are a commencing postgraduate student, contact your School to find out about Orientation course sessions to attend before starting your studies.
Orientation occurs over two weeks:
Week 0 (Orientation) occurs in the week commencing 22 February 2010 and this is when Orientation course sessions will be held. You will receive an introduction to the course and an opportunity for you to meet academic staff and peers. For course advice, course structure and recognition of prior learning (Advanced Standing) you should attend Academic Advising which is held prior to Orientation.
Week 1 (Orientation) occurs in the week commencing 1 March 2010, which is the first week of session when classes start. A range of activities, including sporting activities, social clubs and support service information will be on campus.
Orientation course sessions for Autumn 2010 will be held on each campus. You should attend the Orientation course session on the campus that you are enrolled at.

Library tours will be held during Orientation at Bankstown, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Parramatta, Penrith Allen (Kingswood Campus) and Penrtih Ward (Werrington South Campus) libraries:
From Monday, 22 February to Friday, 26 February 2010: 12.00noon and 1.00pm daily.
From Monday, 1 March to Friday 5, March 2010: 10.00am, 11.00am,12.00noon, 1.00pm, 2.00pm, 3.00pm and 4.00pm.
